European South Test Track
The objective of this project is to deploy an international benchmark test track for autonomous and connected vehicles, enabling the testing and certification of all elements related to connected and autonomous vehicles, their systems and components, including future advances in driver assistance technologies.
The new facility will complement the existing infrastructure at Málaga Tech Park and will be supported by the entire Innova IRV business network. Its aim is to drive the deployment of production capabilities around electric, autonomous and connected vehicles, promote the creation of new Technology-Based Companies (TBCs), and support new training programmes in collaboration with the University in order to reduce the shortage of qualified profiles in automotive technology.
Impact
The project will position Andalusia as a strategic environment for the validation and certification of connected and autonomous mobility technologies, attracting investment, talent and new industrial capabilities linked to advanced automotive technologies.
It will also contribute to strengthening the regional innovation ecosystem through collaboration between companies, universities, technology centres and public administrations, fostering technology transfer and the development of internationally oriented smart mobility solutions.
