Eurecat Innova IRV Appoints Verónica Ramírez del Valle as Director

Eurecat Innova is making the technological capabilities of the Eurecat technology center available to the innovation and business ecosystem of Málaga and Andalusia. These capabilities span industrial, digital, biotechnological, and sustainability technologies, with the aim of accelerating their transformation into high value-added products, services, and processes with significant social impact.

Eurecat Innova IRV, the joint innovation and technological development unit of the Eurecat technology center and the Ricardo Valle Innovation Institute Foundation (Innova IRV), has appointed Verónica Ramírez del Valle as its new director. Dr. Ramírez holds a PhD in Science from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and joins the team as part of its commitment to providing advanced solutions that enhance the competitiveness of the economic and industrial fabric of Málaga and Andalusia.

With academic training in business administration and innovation management from the San Telmo Business School and the School of Industrial Organization (EOI), Verónica Ramírez del Valle brings extensive experience in strategic consulting and innovation and business development services, both in the public and private sectors.

As the new director of Eurecat Innova highlights, “From Málaga, we look at the Andalusian business fabric with the determination to accelerate innovation in order to improve competitiveness, seeking collaboration with all the actors in the Andalusian innovation ecosystem.”

Verónica Ramírez del Valle brings to Eurecat Innova the expertise she has gained in leadership positions across project management, operations, strategy, and business development.

Over the course of her professional career, she has contributed to the development of Andalusia’s innovation ecosystem through the Andalusian Technology Parks Network (RETA) and to strengthening the competitive positioning of urban industries through the Smart City Cluster. She also serves as Spain’s representative in the “Smart and Sustainable Cities” sector within the international G100 initiative—an alliance of 100 global women leaders across 100 high-impact sectors.

Eurecat Innova: High Value-Added Technological Innovation

Eurecat Innova offers the innovation and business ecosystem of Málaga and Andalusia access to the technological capabilities of the Eurecat center in industrial, digital, biotechnological, and sustainability fields, accelerating their transformation into high-impact, high-value-added products, services, and processes.

Since its founding exactly 10 years ago, Eurecat has carried out 15,823 technological innovation projects and services, including 15,023 with companies and organizations, and 834 within R&D&I consortia. These efforts have contributed to the development of new business models, products, services, and production processes aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of the economic and industrial sectors.

During this time, Eurecat has accelerated technological innovation for over 3,200 companies of all sizes and has driven innovation initiatives across the digital, industrial, biotechnological, and sustainability sectors—guided by an approach grounded in technological convergence and cross-sector collaboration.
