ADA Grant

Grants for Andalusian SMEs for the implementation of solutions developed by new digital companies (implementation line).

ADA Grant

Solution name

RISC-EdgeAI SoC – Ultra-low-power RISC-V microprocessor platform for intelligent IoT signal processing and advanced sensing.

Description
The RISC-EdgeAI SoC solution, developed by INNOVA IRV Microelectronics, will consist of an FPGA-based microcontroller built on RISC-V architecture and designed for local data processing in ultra-low-power IoT sensors.

Its applications include:

  • Mobility and smart vehicles, through integration into embedded systems for emissions control and predictive maintenance.
  • Port logistics, in IoT networks for environmental monitoring and asset control in port and industrial environments.
  • Agriculture, as an intelligent node for gas sensing and the control of environmental variables in precision agriculture.

These applications contribute to decarbonisation, energy efficiency and the digitalisation of strategic sectors for Andalusia.

INNOVA IRV Microelectronics has previous experience in the design of RISC-V microcontrollers, but this implementation will enable the company to offer its own technological product with commercialisation potential through IP licensing and customised SoC design services, positioning the company as a relevant player in the European RISC-V ecosystem and strengthening its competitiveness and internationalisation capacity.

At regional level, the project contributes to the development of Andalusia’s value chain in microelectronics and semiconductors, fostering collaboration with other technology SMEs and R&D centres.

The commercial exploitation of this technology will generate new business opportunities in the fields of mobility, industrial IoT and environmental sensing, increasing the company’s sustainability and resilience.

Application sectors

  • Agriculture.
  • Mobility and smart vehicles.
  • Port logistics.
