The DES 2025, held in Málaga on June 10, 11, and 12, provided us with a valuable opportunity to present and share the latest progress of the RiscCom project. The project aims to explore an open-source RISC-V solution by analyzing its extensions and instruction sets to assess the optimization potential of a secure, low-power, multipurpose system designed for wireless communications.
From Innova IRV, we showcased the main actions currently underway, enabling connections with industry leaders and enhancing the project’s visibility.
About RiscCom
The goal of the RiscCom project is to investigate an open-source RISC-V solution and analyze its extensions and instruction sets in order to determine optimization possibilities for a secure, low-power, multipurpose system based on RISC-V and focused on wireless communications.
The project is being developed through the collaboration of IDNEO, Celestia | TST, Dekra, Premo Group, Innova IRV Microelectronics, and Wireless Innovative MMIC S.L. (WIMMIC).
It is funded by the CDTI and supported by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU funds. It also receives support from Spain’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
